4th April - midfoot problems
Venue - Manchester Royal Infirmary, starting 2pm
Leader - Mr R Samarji
Topic - midfoot problems
This is a clutch of problems, some common, some less so, which we’ll try to cover as fully as patients are available:
- Midfoot OA
- Plantar heel pain
- Tarsal tunnel syndrome
- Plantar fibromatosis
- Tarsal coalition
- Ganglia
I don’t have a fantastic collection of references for these but here are some suggestions:

Plantar fibromatosis - no hyperbook page yet but we hope to have one soon, based on Gaurav Rathore’s and Kuntal Patel’s research. Here’s their presentation from BOFAS 2006
Tarsal coalition - no hyperbook page yet (any offers?- I’ve got the papers) .
Good recent review article: Lemley F et al. Current concepts review: Tarsal coalition. Foot Ankle Int 2006; 27(12):1163-9
Ganglia (hyperbook) Just realised I haven’t updated this to include our recent paper! - will do this week hopefully.
