Metatarsalgia is a symptom, not a diagnosis. Many patients have several factors which contribute to their pain. It’s a good test of the ability to take a comprehensive history, perform a thorough examination, use investigations appropriately and show good judgement in assessing the overall problem and advising on treatment - sounds like a comprehensive test of core clinical skills!
