13th June - ankle replacement
Venue - Royal Blackburn Hospital
Leader - Mr AI Zubairy
Topic - ankle replacement
A few years ago, the JBJS published an editorial entitled “Can the ankle be replaced?” and basically said “no”. With the development of semi-constrained second and third-generation ankle replacements the answer in 2008 is definitely “yes”.
This session aims to give you an understanding of the place of ankle replacement in the management of ankle arthritis, surgical technique and a sawbone workshop. Please remember to collect your surgical technique book on Friday.
